AM Best affirms the companies of National Life Group’s A+ rating

Vermont Business Magazine Ratings agency AM Best Co. has affirmed A+ (Superior), the financial strength rating for the insurance companies of National Life Group.
Chairman, CEO and President Mehran Assadi called the decision “a powerful reinforcement of National Life’s financial strength.”
“As we celebrate our 175th anniversary and continue to grow, this confirmation recognizes our continued strategic management initiatives that resulted in further sales growth in 2022 despite market pressures.”
“The stronger we are financially, we earn the right to fulfill promises made and to serve the most underserved segment of the market, which is middle America, taking care of individuals, families and business owners.”
In its release detailing its decision, AM Best said:
“The ratings reflect NL Group’s balance sheet strength, which AM Best assesses as very strong as well as its strong operating performance, favorable business profile and appropriate enterprise risk management (ERM).”
“NL Group has a long history of successfully targeting life insurance and annuity product solutions to the middle market segment through its growing agency force consisting of career and independent agents.”
